| CHILDREN'S FESTIVITY: THE THREE KINGS: at 6pm their Majesties the Kings of the East arrive at Majorca to give children their toys, they usually disembark at the harbour in Palma and then travel around the main streets of Palma with their entourage for the children to greet them. |

| OPEN AIR THEATRE: At 12pm an ancient play is performed by the walls that surround the Cathedral. The main actors of the play, "The adoration of the Kings of the East," are relevant figures of the world of culture or politics. |

| ALGAIDA: At 11am the cossiers of Algaida dance before the town Church to celebrate the Festivity of Saint Honorato. SAINT ANTONIO BONFIRES: at 11pm. Saint Antonio Vigil. Almost all villages in Majorca light bonfires in their town squares in honour of SAINT ANTONIO. Villagers gather around the bonfires with typical cold meat from the area: Botifarrones (large sausage), longaniza (spicy pork sausage), etc., to cook them on the fire and eat them whilst they sing. The most renowned festivity is celebrated in Sa Pobla, where the most popular songs sung by the bonfires are a type of improvised verses known as "Gloses" accompanied by the sound of an instrument called the "Ximbomba". |

| SAINT ANTONIO. A parade starts out at 11 am when a procession of pets (cats, dogs, horses, etc.) are taken to be blessed at the church. This ceremony is carried out in almost all villages in Majorca and also in the capital, Palma. |

| "FOGUERONS" At 11pm various "foguerons" (bonfires) are lit in different squares in Palma (Cort, Plaza Mayor, Santa Eularia, etc.) to cook the "sobrasada" (spicy pork sausage), inhabitants sing and dance to the music of groups hired by the Council until the early hours. Festivities are also celebrated in Alcúdia, Ariany, Buger, Calvià, Costitx, Deyà, Muro and Sa Pobla. |

| SAINT SEBASTIAN. Patron saint of Palma. All day many events take place, all of which are free and gather many people. This date is also important for the village of Pollensa, at 6 pm there are popular dances opposite the church. |

In Palma, specifically on the street known as "Camí de Jesús" there is a large open-air fairground for children and adults. The fair stands for approximately 20 days, and is ideal for children accompanied by parents. |

| PALM SUNDAY: the beginning of Spring festivities, this day celebrates Christ entering Jerusalem among palms and olive trees. Catholic families go to church and their children usually take white palm leaves for them to be blessed. | |

| DIJOUS SANT (MAUNDY THURSDAY): the Catholic church recalls Christ's last supper with his disciples. There are various processions where people bear candles and wear hoods. | EASTER SUNDAY: the most important liturgical activity celebrated this day is the procession of "L'encontre:" the meeting between Christ and his mother. It is celebrated in Palma Cathedral and in almost all Parishes in the villages. The bells of all these churches toll throughout the whole of the celebration of the meeting and the procession ends with a solemn Easter mass. Easter gastronomy is extraordinary, the most typical dishes are Roast Easter Lamb, "panades", "crespells", "robiols", etc. |

Second Easter Festivity: As occurs in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands also celebrate this day. During the whole week different villages organise excursions to the chapels that including picnics in the countryside, known as "pancaritats". |

The most relevant event is the procession that starts off from Palma's Cathedral, displaying the figure that is worshipped. |
